One of Camden's current favorite phrases is "I am 3!" He was so excited for his birthday this year.
At his well-check his doctor said "You sure have some tall kids!"
Height: 41" (99%)
Weight: 37 lb (92%)
Clothes: Mostly 4T
Shoes: 10
Likes:
*Garbage trucks--He LOVES Monday because of garbage day
* Construction trucks
*Trains
*Shows: Thomas, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Tayo (little blue bus)
Sleep: Cam continues to be a good sleeper, but I think we are on borrowed time. His "blue light" in on from 1:30-4:30 for his nap. He commonly skips nap at least once a week. The good thing is that he still happily stays in bed and entertains himself during this time. He goes to bed about 9pm and wakes around 8:30am. We transitioned to a big boy bed a few months before Kylie was born and he had no problems at all. He still refuses to get out of bed unless one of us goes in there to get him. It's kinda a pain, but better than him constantly getting up.
Eating: We finally started having some of the infamous toddler food battles just after Kylie was born. He didn't want to eat ANYTHING we wanted to eat and wanted to snack all day every day. We cut back to one snack in the morning and one in the afternoon and he started doing a little better. After 2 years of oatmeal, he now prefers cereal for breakfast. He gets to pick his lunch options each day (jelly sandwich, pizza, nuggies, mac n cheese, etc), but he still only gets whatever we are having for dinner as an option.
It has been amazing to watch how much Camden has changed in the past year. Looking back at his 2 year old post, he was mostly saying single words and short phrases and just starting to learn his colors, numbers, etc.
Milestones:
1. Letters: can identify all the upper/lowercase letters and knows all of their sounds.
2. Numbers: can identify and count to 20 (I thought he would never learn to count!)
3. Shapes: knows all of them (even hexagon, pentagon, rhombus, etc)
4. Potty trained in 3 days, starting on his 3rd bithday
5. Language: talks non-stop all day every day. He hears and repeats almost everything. One of my favorites is when he leaves the house and I say "Have fun" and he responds with "Will do!" (just like we say).
